Third Anniversary Theme: Be Strong and Courageous

Three years. Three years of togetherness. Three years of unity. Three years of coming and going. For three years we shared with God’s blessings. For three years we’ve been witnesses of God’s faithfulness. For three years we faced trials and challenges of many kinds. For three years we held on to the promises of God. Three times God commanded Joshua to be strong and courageous. And on the third year of Faith Hope Love Church Dumaguete, God is telling us to do so.

Just wondering why this theme Lord? Why are you telling us to be strong and courageous? There must be something ahead that you needed us to be strong and courageous about… (figure out in our next blog post)

Life is tough. Ministry is tough. But God is tougher.

Just as Joshua was leading the people to inherit the land God swore to their forefathers, the church leads people to Christ and inherit an everlasting life that is found in Jesus alone. Leading people is indeed tough. Yet He said in verse 5, “I will never leave you nor forsake you”. And He made this true to us. God remains faithful to us, just as He is with Joshua. And now we’re here on our third year, holding on to that promise. Whatever comes and whoever goes, we know that He will always be with us. (v9)

His promise still stands!
